All of Indonesia's skies on one radar.

ATC Simulator is an air traffic control game for Android. Your first shift covers Sulawesi from the radar room in Makassar. As your rating climbs, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Maluku, Papua, and finally Java and Sumatra join your screen.

Gold lines: the 40 domestic routes flown by the most airlines in the game's flight data, moving as they do on the game's loading screen. Every flight in the game follows a real route between airports placed where they really are.

Every blip is a flight with a callsign, a route, and a pilot waiting for you.

ATC Simulator radar over Sulawesi with four numbered markers: a flight's data block, the traffic list, an airport closed by an earthquake ringed in red, and a storm cell
In-game screenshot, Sulawesi sector at 19:12 local time.
  1. Read the data block. Callsign, altitude in hundreds of feet (150 means 15,000 ft), speed, and aircraft type.

  2. Pick a flight from the list. Its card opens with the orders: climb, descend, speed, heading, hold, approach. The pilot reads each one back on the radio, then turns.

  3. Mind the red ring. An earthquake has closed that airport. The banner at the top counts down the minutes until it reopens.

  4. Steer around storms. Storm cells drift across the sector. Turn flights away before they reach the red core.

When two flights are about to lose separation within two minutes, a dashed line joins them and time slows to 2× so you can act.

When the shift goes wrong

Pop-up in the game: magnitude 5.7 earthquake, Makassar airport closed for inspection

An earthquake closes the runway

The game still lets you clear a flight to land there. A landing on a closed runway ends in a crash, so you hold, send flights around, or divert them before it happens.

Pop-up in the game: SJV628 squawks 7600 and does not answer, with a red button to send a military jet
  • Mayday, 7700

Low fuel, an engine failure, or a sick passenger. Divert to the nearest open airport before the timer runs out.

  • Silent or hijacked

A flight on 7600 or 7500, or a target with no transponder, stops answering. Scramble an Indonesian Air Force jet to intercept it.

  • Storm cells

They drift across the sector. Turn flights away before they reach the red core.

  • Search and rescue

If a flight goes down, read its last radar trail and mark where the rescue team should search.

Your area grows with your rating

You start on Sulawesi. Each landing adds 1 to your rating, a fatal crash takes 200, and three warnings end the shift. New regions join your radar on their own as the rating climbs, and they stay.
